After a lengthy absence from AEW Television, Jon Moxley returned on the AEW Dynamite New Year’s Smash. The former AEW World Champion had a lot to say about his title loss to old friend Kenny Omega.

Moxley started off by saying how the fans might have expected him to be angry and ruthless after his title loss. However, he clarified that his backstory did not allow him to bitch and moan about the losses.
“This is an unforgiving sport. In an unforgiving world, sometimes you are in the bad end of a bad deal,” Moxley said, “When that happens, you plant your feet firmly in the ground and you don’t back down an inch.”

He said he was not going anywhere. He saw things in black and white and had “zero tolerance for sh*tty people.” The ideal solution for Moxley would be to find Kenny Omega and Don Callis and beat them down with a crowbar.
However, Rey Fenix was going to face Omega for the championship. Fenix worked hard for 13 years for the opportunity and as a man who had clawed his way up to the top, Moxley respected Fenix’s efforts. For that reason, Moxley was willing to wait his turn.
