Apart from the extremely anticlimactic ending, the match itself was the perfect cherry on top of the cake to a perfectly executed event. The ring, covered with barbed wires, with an electric current running through them, was just the tagline to this brutal affair.

Following the devastating fight, here are the most brutal spots that fans saw ensue between Moxley and Omega.

1. The Fireworks begin

Kenny Omega and Jon Moxley tried their best to gain an early advantage and were at each other’s throats (literally at one point), but it was Moxley that took the first atrocity.

Trying to push the AEW Champion off him, Moxley found himself a victim of his own momentum and before he knew it, Omega sent him straight into the exploding barbed wired on one side of the ring.

A loud boom was heard as Moxley got lit up like the 4th of July, and fans realized this was just the beginning.

2. The Moxley Infinity Gauntlet

Jon Moxley had summoned the inner beast that found itself in its own playground. Catching Omega off guard, the former AEW Champion attempted to make him suffer by wrapping the barbed wire around his arm.

With the end wrapping around his fist, he wanted to spoil Kenny Omega’s good looks and nearly succeeded until the Champion countered. However, he met his fate anyway when Moxley hit him with a brutal clothesline off the same arm.

3. Barbed Paradigm Shift

The two competitors found themselves outside the ropes at the side of the ring and Moxley gained the advantage. Quickly priming himself with Omega’s defenseless body, the challenger jumped off to deliver a horrific Paradigm Shift.

Omega’s head hit the barbed wire directly, but he more or less bounced off into safety. Moxley, on the other hand, took the brunt of his own move and fell entirely into the barbed wire.

He probably pressed the self-destruct button there but managed to get enough damage on Omega.

4. Out of the Park

Kenny Omega had something diabolical planned that would make Negan himself proud. As Moxley was trying to ward off Gallows and Anderson, Omega saw his opportunity and hit him with a bat wrapped with barbed wire.

Only thing was, this was not just any barbed wire, but exploding barbed wire. The impact was coupled with a huge blast which made Moxley see stars.

Shortly after, Omega won the match after delivering a One-Winged Angel to Moxley on a steel chair, pinning him.

That finish could have made it onto this list if it had taken place more…explosively. Unfortunately, it didn’t happen that way which was the biggest downfall of Revolution. Nonetheless, the event and the main event did impress a lot and the quality of wrestling must not be discounted from the overall score.
