Chris Jericho has faced Jungle Boy in the past, with their match going to a time limit draw. Despite the bizarre stipulation of a ten-minute time limit, the pair put on a stellar outing. It is no wonder Jericho chose the man who he could not beat as the next big thing in AEW. Y2J has victories over Kenny Omega, Hangman Page, Orange Cassidy and Cody Rhodes, but not Jungle Boy.

On AEW Dynamite, Jungle Boy picked up a big win against FTR’s Dax Harwood in a magnificent match. Jungle Boy’s high flying offence and Harwood’s wrestling acumen and brute strength created the perfect clash of styles. After a breathless fifteen minutes of action, Jungle Boy trapped Harwood in a modified Snare Trap, forcing him to submit.

After his win against Harwood, the sky’s the limit for the son of the late Luke Perry. AEW might regret keeping him in the tag division for too long. Instead, they should allow him to spread his wings and embark on the solo run that will lead him to championship gold.
