AEW has a cluster of massive talents. They have recruited from all around the globe and haven’t shown any hesitation in signing WWE talents. One superstar they deliberately missed out on was Deonna Purrazzo. This led to widespread criticism, and Executive Vice President of AEW Kenny Omega has addressed the issue at hand.

Purrazzo was among the many superstars released by WWE, and she has now joined Impact Wrestling. This came as a huge blow to AEW as they have been trying to fortify their women’s division for quite some time.

Kenny Omega, however, has expressed no remorse for missing out on the opportunity to sign Purrazzo. Omega said, “Truly happy for Deonna but I’m incredibly proud of our division and its athletes. You should try watching some of our matches. Start with the recent title match from a few days ago and then honestly tell me we need help.”

Omega asked the fans to watch their matches and is certain they don’t need to bolster the women’s division. He also cited the last title match as an example of how good their division really is. A rude awakening awaits Omega for one successful match does not mean that they are at the top of the food chain.

Omega is referring to the title match at Double or Nothing, where Hikaru Shida defeated Nyla Rose. It was undoubtedly one of the best events that the AEW has pulled off yet. However, there is a lot of room for improvement, and AEW needs to bring about a serious change to their modus operandi.
Purazzo had real disagreements with WWE, and there were many rumors of her joining AEW. She sported an electric personality and a rather alluring attitude. However, she was never given the opportunity to grow at NXT. If she had signed for AEW, fans could have had their hands full of good bookings.

Kenny Omega is one of the hottest prospects in wrestling. Currently, he is a board member, as well as a star at AEW. He has worked with many promotions throughout his career and has snubbed WWE contract offers on more than one occasion.
At AEW, his primary focus has been promoting the women’s division. The said division is yet to gain acclamation among the fans. Rival promotions are already on the top with their female superstars, and if AEW lags behind, it will cost them big time.
