AEW Dynamite is becoming quite the place for surprises. A few weeks ago, NJPW Wrestler KENTA made his shocking AEW debut attacking Jon Moxley.

It was certain KENTA was there to send a message to Mox ahead of their IWGP United States Championship match, and he did. But guess who had the last laugh? Of course, the ‘Innovator of Unscripted Violence’ did!

Jon Moxley retains IWGP US Heavyweight Championship against Kenta
The 2020 Wrestler of the Year successfully defended his IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship against KENTA at The New Beginning USA Show. The match started off with both men trading stiff shots, and they kept the same exciting pace throughout the match.

The final moments of the match saw Moxley somehow get out of the Crossface from KENTA. The champ then leveled the Japanese star with a clothesline and followed it up with a DDT, but it wasn’t enough.

Moxley then said KENTA was done, and he was gonna pay for all his actions.

KENTA asked Moxley to bring the fight and said he was not done yet. Mox being Mox, did exactly that and hit him with his finisher the ‘Deathrider’ aka ‘Paradigm Shift’ in AEW to retain the title.

What’s next for Mox?
Moxley’s next challenge will be a mammoth one. He faces Kenny ‘The Cleaner‘ Omega for the AEW World Championship in an Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch at AEW Revolution.
The match name is enough for anyone to know how brutal this match will be. Both men will enter the ring at 100%, but none will leave the ring without assistance.
Every time these two have fought, their fight has been a show-stealer. The scene won’t be any different next Sunday as they clash in one of the most brutal and dangerous matches in the history of professional wrestling.

Omega and Moxley are 1-1 against each other. Both men will give it their all to not only win the AEW World Championship but also to solidify who the best wrestler is between them.
