“Eddie Kingston Needs to Shut the F**K up” – WWE Legend Trashes AEW Superstar for His Comments on WWE

Eddie Kingston has quite the mouth on him. He is undoubtedly one of the best promo guys All Elite Wrestling has got. But every now and then, even he slips up. One recent slip up of his caught the eye of WWE Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley.
In a recent episode of the “Busted Open Radio”, Bully Ray went on a rampage about Eddie Kingston’s recent promo on AEW. During the promo he took shots at WWE and BullyRay wasn’t having it. He said,

“Eddie Kingston needs to shut the f*ck up and stay in his lane. And his lane is as an AEW guy speaking about AEW and flying the flag for AEW, then I’m on completely on board. Tell me why that you were an indie guy for the majority of your career.
“Now this company took a chance on you, and you have learned to love it and everything about it. Now I’m on board, Eddie, but to take the easy way out and knock the WWE, there’s no reason to go there.
“If Cody wants to destroy a throne, I get it. If Jericho wants to say, Eff you, I got it. Eddie, why? There’s no reason for Eddie to say it.” (H/t Ringside News for transcripts)

He also implies that wrestlers like Chris Jericho and Cody Rhodes, who admit that WWE has mistreated them during their time, have this right. But guys like Eddie have no reason for doing such a thing.

Was Eddie Kingston right to call out WWE?
While Eddie did not name-drop WWE in his promo, we could make out who he was talking about. Now his promo is appreciated by some and dismissed by others.

But the main thing is, was he correct in doing so? As Bully Ray stated since Kingston has nothing to do with WWE directly, he shouldn’t have invoked the name in the first place.

Another argument could be made that it is a sort of business rivalry and nothing more. His promo is just another way of sending the AEW fans home happy and pumped up for them to come back for more.
