Recently, he made a guest appearance on the Spinnin Backfist podcast too. There, he shared his thoughts on his coaching experience and his future in the sport.

Right in the opening minute of the podcast, one of the Spinnin Backfist boys asked Chandler about his prospects as an MMA coach. In response, the former Bellator champ humorously quipped. He said – “I don’t think so. If I was going to get paid NFL coach money, yeah!”

Moreover, he acknowledged the significant time commitment and the strain it puts on his family life. According to ‘Iron Mike’, he would not want to put so much time and effort into building someone else’s career. Nonetheless, he expressed gratitude for the opportunity and found the experience to be rewarding, despite its challenges.

“It’s not something that I want to dedicate all that time to be away from my family. Even more, while pouring into somebody else’s career instead of mine. But yeah for those four weeks, those five weeks, it was a very cool experience.”

Reflecting on his time as a TUF 31 coach, Chandler admitted that it was a tough journey. However, if he ever got a chance, he would embark on it again. The exposure and the platform provided by ESPN and the show’s format have undoubtedly added a new dimension to his career.
