While most fans and fighters considered it a close fight and applauded both fighters, Conor McGregor had a different take. ‘The Notorious’ one and ‘Triple C’ have not been seeing eye to eye for quite a while now. Cejudo used to break down McGregor’s technique and give him advice, while also occasionally trolling him.

The pair have engaged in several Twitter spats before as well. Recently, Cejudo reignited the spat again after he said he would not train McGregor like he did some other fighters. The former champion added that it was because the Irishman had crossed the lines with insults to his manager, Ali Abdelaziz, and friend Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Therefore, when Cejudo got served the humble pie, McGregor did not hesitate to get a few kicks in.

Considering the circumstances and specifics of their beef, McGregor’s insults were incredibly targeted toward Cejudo. “Mastermind stuff hahaha,” he wrote in a tweet.

In a second one, he wrote, “Easiest money I’ve ever made. Not a scratch on Aljo! Congrats Funkmaster! Good little fighter is Henry but give it a rest with these agendas all the time. He continued, “The guy is sub 20 fights in his career. His little feints an all ahaha omg please teach me mastermind lol. Done the splits like a stripper and got dumped on his ass he did hahaha oh lord it’s tasty.”
