Alexander Zverev is on cloud nine, after demolishing the world number one Novak Djokovic at the ATP World Tour Finals, in straight sets. The young German seems to have finally broken the barrier of his expectations after defeating two of the biggest names in the tennis world. The German is now relaxed and laid back after his gutsy performance, and looks to be at ease with his game and future plans.

“Obviously this is the biggest title of my career so far”,  said Alexander Zverev in his post match press conference. “This trophy means a lot, everything, to all the players. I mean, you only have so many chances of winning it. You play against the best players only. How I played today, how I won it, for me it’s just amazing”, he added. He was quick to laud himself for beating the two top seeds of the tournament. “It’s quite astonishing, winning this title, beating two such players back-to-back, Roger (Federer) and Novak (Djokovic), in semifinals and finals”, he said.
Alexander Zverev was impressed with himself for serving at a very high level against one of the best, if not the best, returners of the sport. “Means so much. I’m incredibly happy and incredibly proud of this moment right now.’ said Zverev. “I lost my serve once against him today. I think this is a pretty good stat, especially he’s the best returner we have in the game”, he said.

“I broke him right back after he broke me for a second time, so I’m not too worried about it. I’m actually not worried about anything right now. You guys can ask me what you want”, said a beaming Zverev, as he answered the questions for the media. “I wasn’t trying to overthink it. As I said, I just tried to go out there and enjoy the match as much as I can, enjoy the atmosphere, enjoy the moment. That’s what I did. My serve has been working well the whole week. I had a lot of confidence in it. It all worked out well”, he said.

It looks like the young guns have finally arrived at the party. Just how long they plan on being there, remains to be seen.
