Alexander Zverev Challenges Daniil Medvedev – “He’s Not Going to Win in Two Sets”
World Number seven, Alexander Zverev seemed confident about not losing to Daniil Medvedev in straight sets in London, on Friday. The Russian needs to win in straight sets against Zverev to qualify for the semifinals at ATP World Tour Finals 2019.
A press reporter asked Zverev, “Do you think when you play Daniil on Friday he will be tougher to beat because he’s got nothing to lose for?”
“He’s out, right?” Zverev cross-questioned the reporter. “No, he’s not out,” he continued as the reporter mentioned Medvedev’s status in London. “If he wins in two sets… So there you go. He still has something to play for, I guess. He’s not going to win in two, though,” Sascha added.

“Honestly I have been super lucky, that is the real thing, sorry for Daniil, it’s a tough loss, he was playing much better than me in the third, today is one of the days one out of 1,000 you win, I was happy. I cannot thank the crowd for the big support,” Rafa said. Nadal will next meet Tsitsipas in the last round-robin match in London.
