“This story with my manager took a lot from me,” he admitted, “It’s why the focus has been bit gone for a few weeks. But now, it calms down a bit.”

Alex Zverev has been in a rut for a fairly long time, in fact he has been losing since Acapulco. As it turns out, Alexander Zverev failed to secure consecutive matches since the Acapulco Open.

Now, Alexander Zverev will be heading into his next tournament in Munich this week. However, his father and his coach Ivan Lendl will not be present. This is because both Lendl and Zverev Sr will be elsewhere this time around.

However, Alexander Zverev is still confident that he can turn his season around. According to him, all he needs is a few tight wins which will help boost his morale.

“If you can get by this phase, I think, you will be even better,” he continued. “It’s important that I find my game again.”

Sascha also heads into Munich as the defending champion and top seed so he will be hoping to defend the title successfully. He has already defeated Juan Ignacio Londero in the second round after a bye in the first round.

Now, in the quarterfinals, Alexander Zverev is set to face Cristian Garin for a shot at the semifinals. Zverev chalked up a 7-5, 6-1 over the Argentine and will be on the hunt for his third title in Munich.

Sascha will also be aiming to finish higher when Roland Garros comes around later this month. Last time around, he ended as high as the quarterfinals and will be hoping to be higher.
