His mother Zofia Maliszewska-Hurkacz was a junior tennis champion in Poland. His uncles were tennis players too and his grandfather was a volleyball player representing his nation.

Speaking about Hurkacz’s season, he is having his best time so far. Having made it to the Wimbledon Championships 2021 semifinal this year, he has registered his best performance in a Major. Prior to that, he won his first Masters 1000 title in Miami. He defeated Denis Shapovalov, Milos Raonic, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Andrey Rublev, and Jannik Sinner en route to lifting the title.
With there still being time for this season to end, Hubert can surely achieve more success this year. At the moment, he is still competing in the latter stages of the Wimbledon Championships 2021. It will be interesting to see how far he goes.
