For months, fans of the popular party game, Among Us, have wanted a massive update to the game. They requested for new maps, changes to the existing ones, and additional features that can keep the game fresh. The game massively blew up during the pandemic last year, but with no major changes to the original game, it looked like it might be heading towards a downward spiral.

However, few months ago, the developers at Innersloth LLC. finally teased an update for the game. The trailer revealed a new map called Airship, answering the prayers of fans. Last week, they finally rolled out the new update, and along with Airship, the update also had new tasks, cosmetics and improved mechanics.

Among Us fans are not happy with the new update

The reaction to the new update has been very lukewarm amongst the fans. Many of them were unhappy with the update being released so late. Fans believed that the update should have released late last year, when the game was at peak popularity. The new map also hasn’t impressed a lot of fans because it’s too large and complex. The map would probably be perfect for 10-15 player lobbies because of the enormous size. While the developers have revealed that they are working on it, players shouldn’t expect it to release soon.

Along with that, the new update has also introduced countless bugs and glitches in Airship. So the seven member development team at Innersloth Studio will have their work cut for them in bringing a lot of changes to the game.

Among Us‘ Community Director, Victoria Tran, replied to these fans stating that these comments demoralize the team who have poured their heart out for the game. While they appreciate the constructive criticism, they hoped that the fans won’t abuse them, hoping to improve the game faster.
