Despite severe competition from AAA titles like Fortnite, Call of Duty Warzone, and Apex Legends, Among Us turned out to be one of the most popular games in 2020. It even bagged several awards like The Game Award for Best Multiplayer Game, and Best Mobile Game, among others.

Among Us’ journey to the top was similar to Mediatonic’s Fall Guys. Streamers around the world suddenly started playing the Indie games and to say the least, fans loved their chaotic meta. While Fall Guys has witnessed a significant downfall in its user base over the past few months, Among Us is still one of the most-watched/played games on the internet.

InnerSloth is consistently rolling out updates now. They primarily focus on bringing new maps, play styles, and tasks for the players. Hence, it is safe to assume that Among Us will continue its glorious run in 2021 too.

15 player lobbies finally coming to Among Us

Currently, a maximum of 10 players can play Among Us together. Even though this was a huge reason that people played the game during the Coronavirus pandemic, the demands of 15 player lobbies have also been prevalent for a long time.

A recent tweet by the game’s official Twitter handle informed the players about the upcoming update.

InnerSloth also planning to improve the art style

The simple graphics and animations in Among Us have always been one of its biggest highlights. From the looks of it, InnerSloth will improve them even further now.

When asked about these improvements, the developers clarified they won’t change the art style drastically. Instead, it will simply be a little cleaner, which will make it easier for them to animate on the backend.

Alongside the aforementioned changes, new player colors are also making their way with the next update. Lastly, there are certain bug fixes and adjustments that are yet to be disclosed.

InnerSloth has thanked the players for their patience and has promised to release the update as soon as possible. Until then, the community can enjoy a plethora of mods developed by the content creators.
