Taking the last season into account, the Austrian Dominic Thiem and Russia’s Daniil Medvedev have made a name for themselves. Recently, former Wimbledon champion Pat Cash expressed his opinion on who he finds interesting amongst the new ones on tour. He said, “I think Stefanos Tsitsipas is an interesting person. There are always personalities. When someone plays something different, people get excited. And Tsitsipas sure is one of them.”
The Australian also had two other players who caught his attention. He also has a liking for players who strike the ball with firmness and is a fan of the single-handed backhand. He mentioned, “Dominic Thiem is exciting in a different way because he hits the ball extremely hard. Shapovalov is also an exciting player who loves to get online. Hmm, they all play one-handed backhand, right?”
