“She is in great form. That is really cool. I think it’s nice for the viewers to see new faces and watch good tennis,” said the 2008 French open winner.

The former World No.1 also talked about some newly emerging men’s tennis players who could have a bright future.

“One of them is Jannik Sinner, who has played really well. Another one that I noticed is Sebastian Korda. I think he has a bright future as well,” remarked the 32-year-old.

In the same bite with the Tennis Channel, Ivanovic also addressed the many upsets taking place in Paris this year.

“I think it is due to the heavier conditions this year. Another thing that can affect the result is the situation with the spectators. Some players like the fact there are so many people,” concluded Ivanovic.

Sparse crowds can be a problem for few. But it is definitely not an issue for Iga Swiatek. She will next face Nadia Podoroska, who recently became the first qualifier to reach the semis after defeating Elina Svitolina, in the semi-finals of the French Open 2020. It will be worth watching who cements a place in the final.
