One of the unusual pair-ups in the at Wimbledon Championships 2019, Andy Murray and Serena Williams mixed doubles team enticed the Center Court at Wimbledon and also their fans worldwide. Serena was back on the grass almost six hours after her third-round win and whereas Murray dealt with a men’s doubles defeat earlier today.
The former Wimbledon champions, defeated Alexa Guarachi and Andreas Mies 6-4, 6-1 in the opening round of the mixed doubles at the Wimbledon Championships.

‘Murrena Team’ held the opening break in the match and lead by a break in the entire set. Also, several break opportunities bounced upon them in the middle of the set. With Murray’s merciless backhand, they had a chance to take a 5-2 lead, but with the Briton committing errors in the next points, Murray and Williams lead by 4-3.

The Brit-American duo squandered three set-points at 5-3 and in between, Serena slipped on the net and Andy managed to finish the point. Enjoying, their moment on the Wimbledon’s Center Court, Andy Murray and Serena Williams took the first set 6-4.

Two decades ago, Serena was a mixed doubles champion in the London major, and she partnered, Max Miryni back then. And 21 years later, she is still in the quest of her second mixed doubles Wimbledon title.
The second set seemed a cakewalk for Andy Murray and Serena Williams as the breezed to take a 4-0 lead. The dynamic pair was rejoicing their tennis on the holy tennis turf of the world. Serena slammed every ball in her vicinity and was sprinting back and forth to earn every point.

With a full-house cheered ‘come on Andy!’ and ‘come on Serena!’, Guarachi and Mies could save two match points before, letting the ace duo win their first-round match at the Wimbledon Championships 2019.
