Andy Murray told the reporters on Sunday: “I have no pain in my hip anymore, so that’s a positive thing. But I’m still kind of going through the recovery process now from the operation. My muscles are still recovering, the ones that were cut during the procedure. So I sometimes feel a little bit slow on the court.”

Andy Murray, who is now ranked no. 413 in the ATP rankings feels that though he is pain-free, it would be “naive” and “silly” to think that he will ever return to being the top player in the world.

The 32-year-old said: “Honestly, I’m not expecting to get back to my very best. I think it would be probably a bit naive and silly to think that would be the case.”

The three-time Grand Slam champion is confident about his skills, however, he is also doubtful about his physical capabilities. “I do feel like tennis-wise I can still compete at the highest level in terms of my skill, it’s just whether physically I can get to a high enough level to be competitive right at the top,” Murray said.

Andy Murray is committed to playing three events in three weeks as he continues his comeback during the Asian swing of the ATP Tour. He will face Tennys Sandgren in the opening round of the ATP 250 event in Zhuhai on Monday. He is also scheduled to already committed to play in Beijing, a harder ATP 250 tournament, the following week.
