Former World No. 1 Andy Murray has been making slow but steady progress after his comeback to the ATP tour. He recently received a positive update when he climbed up in the ATP Rankings. Despite losing in the European Open 2021 pre-quarterfinal to Diego Schwartzman, the British player will gain positions when the rankings get updated this Monday.
Although Andy Murray was beaten by the Argentine player who won the match in straight sets, he has something to be happy about. Murray has been making regular appearances on the tour since his exit from the US Open.

In the tournament, Murray had an exhilarating first round encounter against the American, Frances Tiafoe. The match went on for close to four hours and, astonishingly, all three sets of the encounter went to the tie-break. However, he fell short of the challenge he received from second-seed Diego Schwartzman. On a positive note, the Olympic Gold medalist has been playing some impressive tennis.
