Andy Murray Likely To Miss Antwerp or Paris ATP Tournaments on a Happy Note

Former World Number one, Andy Murray and his wife, Kim Sears are expecting their third child. The three-time Grand Slam champion, Andy Murray mentioned that his wife might delivery a baby anytime in the next week.

Pertaining to that, the Dunblane native, Andy Murray might miss his tournament in Antwerp, Belgium which is the European Open and then take his flight for Paris Masters 2019. If the delivery of the baby gets delayed, then Murray will play the tournament in the ATP 500 tournament in Antwerp and miss Paris, and then gear up for the Davis Cup Finals 2019 in Madrid.

“Obviously the baby can come any time from pretty much next week. I would adjust my schedule if I couldn’t go to Antwerp. My plan is to play Antwerp and then I am done through to the Davis Cup. If the baby came early, I would miss Antwerp and then maybe play at the Paris Masters.” Andy Murray addressed The Times.

World Number 289, Andy Murray has now attained his rhythm on the ATP Tour and now plays competitive tennis against the professional men. In Beijing, China he pulled off a major upset by ousting World Number 13, Matteo Berrettini and then followed by a win he fell to the eventual champion and top-seed, Dominic Thiem.

Later in Shanghai, he attained his first ATP Masters 1000 victory in two years by defeating Juan Ignacio Londero from Argentina. Then his Shanghai tour was followed a tirade-encounter against Fabio Fognini. The players got vocal in the midst of the match and their verbal heated exchanged was extended to the locker room. In that match, Murray served twice for a place in the next round.

“I’m very disappointed just now. So I had a volley on top of the net. Someone made a noise. I didn’t know who made the noise. I looked in the direction where the noise came from, he then told me ‘stop looking at me, what are you looking at me for’, and I was like: ‘I was just about to hit a shot and someone made a noise’,” the Brit said after his Shanghai defeat.
