One of the ‘Big Four’ contenders of tennis, Andy Murray has teamed up with his brother, Jamie Murray for the Citi Open 2019. For next week’s the Rogers Cup in Montreal, Canada, Murray will be joining forces with his triumphant partner, Feliciano Lopez.

After his Canadian endeavors, Andy Murray plans to fly back to the US for the Cincinnati Masters, but this time, the Brit is optimistic about hitting the singles courts for the Western and Southern Open. His ultimate goal is to feature at the singles discipline of the US Open 2019. “I’m closer than maybe I thought I was…the thing I’m sort of lacking, my cardio isn’t great right now,” Murray said upon his return to the singles game.

Further, Murray elaborated on the present conditions of his body. “Now just not being in pain, it’s amazing what that will do to you. The Q I sort of ask, why not, why should I not being able to get back to where I was. There’s no good reason. It just takes time for muscles to recover,” Andy Murray said.

On the practice courts of Washington, Andy Murray has been practicing his singles game and his outcomes are better than what he anticipated. Yesterday, he followed a rigorous train session and played complete sets, but he feels that his cardiovascular exercises and conditioning has to still be in the right place.

He is willing to play the New York major in singles, but before that happens, Andy Murray hopes to show up on the singles court of the US Open warm-up series.

Upon his return to tennis at the Fever-Tree Championships, he won the doubles trophy alongside Feliciano Lopez. Murray also appeared at the Nature Valley International in tandem with Marcelo Melo but lost the first match. At Wimbledon, he played with Pierre-Hugues Herbert in men’s doubles and Serena Williams in mixed doubles and collectively won three matches.
