Andy Murray Reveals What Depresses Him the Most

Andy Murray has opened up on the fact that cruelty towards animals depresses him. The 3-time Grand Slam title winner has gone on to say that he really loves animals.
“I care as much about animals as I do about human beings. Some people find that funny but I don’t,” said Murray.
He and his wife Kim have two border terriers, Maggie May and Rusty. He also revealed that it was his love for animals that led him to champion causes for the world’s most vulnerable wildlife.

“We’re all on this planet together and it’s horrible when you see what happens to some animals that are almost extinct,” he said. “Animals don’t have a voice, human beings do, and it’s nice to try to help with that.”

“I always grew up with animals. My family always had dogs and I had a couple of hamsters when I was a kid,” he said.

Murray has been associated with a sniffer dog program in Nepal that trains dogs to track down poaching activity in and around the region.
A puppy named ‘Murray’ has been trained as a sniffer dog in his honor.

Apart from being a very vocal supporter of causes relating to animal welfare, Andy Murray has been associated with other causes like AIDS & HIV, Cancer, Children Welfare, etc.
Andy Murray has 46 singles titles, three Grand Slam titles, 14 Masters 1000 Series titles to his name, 2 Gold Medals at the Olympics, and a title at the ATP Finals.
