Angel di Maria, who had a lukewarm first season at Manchester United, will do better and strike back strong, according to his club and Argentina teammate Marcos Rojo.

The Argentine winger, who was signed by the Manchester club at an English record signing fee of £59.7million last summer, had failed to replicate his magic in the Premier League. The player faced numerous problems, including injuries and playing off-position, along with the trouble of settling in a new country among others.

But his fellow teammate, Marcos Rojo, believes that he has it in him to prove his worth in English soil. They are currently playing together for the Copa America which is taking place at Chile.

He was quoted saying, “For me, the player with the most talent at Manchester United is Angel.” to the Copa America’s official website.

“There are great players at the club but Angel, for me, is one of the best in the team and in the world.”

“It has been a difficult year for him. He had some problems adapting but that’s normal.”

“Any player coming to a new country and a new league has to adapt to the differences and that’s what happens but I’m sure he will do really well in the months ahead.”

In the first season for the Red Devils, the Argentine 27-year-old played 33 games inclusive of all tournaments, in which he scored 4 goals and assisted 12. His quality for finding out the right man earned him the third highest assists in the 2014/15 season, after Fabregas and Cazorla.  He was also out twice due to injury, which reduced his playing time by around a month. If he can get his form back as it was for the Los Blancos, it would be a difficult task for the rest of the League to cope up with his flair and speed, and he can prove to be the talisman United need.
