Monthly changes and updates are frequent occurrences in the world of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. September marks the first significant seasonal change in the life simulation game leading to changes in weather, both in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.

Summer has concluded in the Northern Hemisphere, paving the path for Fall. Meanwhile, the end of Winter in the Southern Hemisphere has led to Spring. As the game cycles new fishes, bugs, and sea creatures in or out every month, an assortment of critters departed the islands after August. That, in turn, has led to a whole new batch of critters showing up on the players’ islands, depending on the hemisphere.

Players are advised to keep their fishing rods, bug nets, and diving gear handy as some critters are not available regularly. All new critters available in both hemispheres during September in Animal Crossing: New Horizons are listed below. Catching these creatures will enable players to complete the museum exhibits, and they can also unlock the Golden Tools DIY recipes.
