Animal Crossing: New Horizons: New season with new features

Collecting raw material and DIY recipes

The major attraction for this season is pine cones and acorns. For players of the Nothern Hemisphere, these are available all over the island and can be found on trees. However, the players need to shake the trees for a longer duration than usual to grab them.

DIY recipes are also found in abundance. Some can be found on the beach in the form of balloons floating in the air. The players can shoot these down and hope that a DIY recipe falls out of it.

Messages bottles also appear frequently on the shore. These message bottles contain DIY recipes and if the players are lucky, it could be one of the exclusive DIY recipes for this season.

Number of things that can be crafted with the help of the materials and the recipes

  • Trees bounty arch: Pine cones, acorns, maple leaves, and some sort of berries. This arch looks pretty intriguing and can be used as an entry point to the player’s island. This can be installed at regular intervals on the island to celebrate fall and the island a very vibrant image.
  • Trees bounty big and the little tree: These again utilize pine cones and acorns, maple leaves, hardwood, and the big tree also requires some clay. Unsurprisingly, these look magnificent and can be placed anywhere on the island. These would look great right outside the player’s house in place of other plants.
  • Leaf campfire: The players only need pine cones and tree branches to craft these. These again can be placed outside the player’s house and provide a pretty welcoming vibe. Moreover, the players can also invite their friends and have a campfire night and just enjoy the sunset representation that the island will be boasting during this season.
  • Bonsai trees can last for over a hundred years and our passed down generations. Fall brings them into the fold and can be placed inside the house as decoration material. Make the most of them while they’re here as once they leave, the players might not get them for another year or more.
  • The Acorn pochette is probably the most sought after crafted material of this update. It is a wearable backpack that is made of acorns. A DIY recipe is mandatory to be able to craft this item and is worth all the effort as it looks splendid.

It is also possible to have some unique designs for these items. These will be available while crafting and plenty of distinct designs are available.

With the ongoing pandemic, people might be restricted to their homes. But, Animal Crossing: New Horizons might make it possible for players to enjoy Halloween theme with pumpkin decorations and a range of different costumes.

Some updates and features might not be visible on the surface but can be found while exploring the island. Don’t forget to craft the abovementioned items as these can also be sold for a hefty profit at the Nook shop.
