Following months of anticipation, Nintendo finally introduced Mario-themed items in Animal Crossing New Horizons. It comes as no surprise that this crossover between two of the company’s most popular franchises has been a massive success.

From replicating the looks of Mario, Luigi, or Wario, to collecting coins, there is a ton of new content for the players to explore. However, the biggest highlight among the latest Mario items have been the Warp Pipes.

Anyone who’s played Super Mario games must know the concept of Warp Pipes. Mario can use these green pipes and reach certain secret areas in the game. Similarly, the Warp Pipes in New Horizons are now helping the players to travel across their islands.

Interestingly, Warp Pipes are the first fast-travel feature in Nintendo’s life simulation game. It comes as no surprise that these newly introduced mechanics have completely changed the meta and have further opened up many possibilities for increasing efficiency and trying out fun activities with friends.

Warp Pipes help players in clicking creative pictures in Animal Crossing New Horizons

Apparently, Warp Pipes thrust you into the air while using them. As a result, you can click a picture of your character flying in the sky if you have fast reflexes.

Instagram user acnh_devineland used this as a great opportunity for showcasing her artistry. She clicked a picture of her character floating in the air in front of the beautiful castle on her island.

Devineland further challenged ACNH players to click such pictures and submit them before March 3. To make things even more exciting, the winner of the challenge could win any DIY set of their choice, or 200 Nook Miles Tickets.

The #ACPipeChallenge hashtag is trending on Instagram at the moment, as fans around the world are whole-heartedly taking part in it.

Players are also discovering novel ways to travel across their islands with pipes. While some are using them as a beeline to hotspots, others find them handy while escaping attackers like bees.

In late 2020, a similar challenge named #acFloatChallenge had surfaced where players had to hop off a chair or a bed to click an innovative picture of their villagers in air. From the looks of it, such challenges and the creativity of the Animal Crossing New Horizons community will not come to an end anytime soon.
