Hold on, you can’t just go right ahead and dive deep into the water. Most importantly, your character needs the proper gear. Characters need to equip a wetsuit to go for a swim. After the update, players can find one for sale at Nook’s Cranny. What’s more? Each day you can get your hands on new improved designs for your wetsuits.

We don’t know yet what the pricing will be for the wetsuits but you can grab them by spending Bells or the new Nook Miles. The wetsuit will let you dive into the waters from the edge of your island. You can go in search of new marine life and dive deep underwater.

The new marine lives you may end up finding can be donated to the museum curator Blathers. The mermaid crafting set is also all set for a debut from the new update.

Also making a return is Pascal, the red sea otter. Pascal will appear as soon as you find scallops. You can trade the scallop with Pascal in return for one of his mermaid-themed DIY recipes.

Nintendo will bring another summer update sometime around August. The game has been doing quite well and newer additions only mean more game time and more users.
