Animal Crossing: New Horizons has finally received another seasonal update. The Northern hemisphere players will see their entire island covered in snow; whereas southern hemisphere players will experience summer on their island. Furthermore, Nintendo added a lot of content for the winter players.

These include new activities, DIY recipes, items, and much more. Not to mention, there are a lot of new users who have started their journey in New Horizons. Thus, they can collect old items from last year as well. Continue reading to find more about the winter update.

Winter update arrived in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Players will discover snowflakes floating in the air and small snowballs spawning on their island. They have to collect snowflakes with the help of a net which will be needed to craft various items from the frozen series. Moreover, users can build large snowman/ snowboys by rolling and kicking small snowballs and it will award them with large snowflakes.

In order to collect DIY recipes for the frozen series, you have to shoot down daily balloons from the sky and build perfect snowboys. There are a total of 26 frozen items that make up as furniture sets. You can obtain 16 recipes from snowboys and the rest of them are obtained from the daily balloons.

Interestingly, the 2.0 update added three new items to the frozen series. These include the Frozen fence, the Frozen floor tiles, and the Frozen mini snow person. You can obtain the first two recipes from the balloons, whereas Frozen mini snow person DIY can only be obtained from the perfect snowboy. Hence, veterans players will again have to step up if they want to collect these newly added items.

Furthermore, both the Frozen fence and the Frozen mini snow person can be customized into seven different variations. Interestingly, some of the DIY recipes require large snowflakes which you have to collect by creating a perfect snowboy. What are your thoughts on the recent winter update in ACNH?
