T-Pain joins the long list of celebrities who claim to be huge fans of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Recently, he reveals that his daughter introduced him to the game and has found it difficult to keep his hands off the new title.

T-Pain is very regular with updates and doesn’t fail to provide the fans with an insight into his island. Moreover, he has also managed to create an in-game studio and performed live for the fans who had turned up.

As much as he loves the game, he doesn’t seem to be a huge fan of Tom Nook. The rapper released a song just a few days back that talks about how notorious Tom Nook is.

The song also features Isabelle who is the mayor’s secretary in the game. She is referred to as Nook’s partner in crime which basically implies that she deals equal charge in Nook’s monopolistic activities. The lyrics of the song suggest that Tom Nook only brings the players to the island to earn a benefit. This adds fuel to the theory that Nook is a self-serving character.

Tom Nook has been a celebrated character in every title of the franchise. He owns the Nook shop and is also a leading figure of the island’s real estate. Nook is the reason behind the player’s living in squalor at the beginning of the game. Moreover, the players complete activities in order to earn bells to be able to repay the loan that Nook provided.

However, this is what Animal Crossing: New Horizon’s Hisashi Nogami said in defense of Tom Nook. “I think he’s a really, really good guy. You do owe him money, but it’s not like he comes over and then asks you to pay him back. And he doesn’t add interest in any of the loans that you may have. I think he really does stick around and wait for you and then lets you take the lead for paying him back.”

Tom Nook has been central to the game since its inception. For a title that has been a household name for over two decades, such theories are only normal. Additionally, this theory is what has provided a bit of watercooler gossip around a title that has been considered flawless because of the ease with which the players can play the game.
