Some new critters appearing on the islands include dung beetles found rolling snowballs along the ground and lobsters swimming around in the ocean. Meanwhile, pond smelts can be caught in rivers.
As for changes in the island’s appearance, players might have seen noticeable changes, including villagers sporting winter outfits and the availability of a wintery range of clothing at Able Sisters. Over the next few weeks, snow will gradually cover the island, and its flora will also change.
Certain trees will become decorated with Christmas lights, and shaking them will drop colorful ornaments. Players can use these seasonal materials in crafting a range of festive DIY recipes.
