New currency and items coming in Animal Crossing: New Horizons paid DLC
One of the eye-catching features in the 2.0 update will be the Happy Home Paradise store. Players can visit a new store at the Happy Home office on the island where a new NPC, Wardell, will assist users in a lot of ways. Furthermore, they can also get their hands on new items from the store, which will be normally hard to find or inaccessible.
Because the items are extremely rare and attractive, we will definitely see many players investing in them. In order to buy these Happy Home items, players will have to exchange them with a newly introduced currency.

Nintendo will introduce a new special currency in Happy Home Paradise expansion called Poki and will work similar to Bells. The only difference is you will receive payment with Poki instead of Bells from the Paradise Planning Team. Just like Nook’s Cranny, the items at the store will be refreshed daily.
Interestingly, we can also see that the price of the items is not high and players are able to earn much more Poki from the Paradise Planning Team. Thus, Nintendo might introduce some other uses of Poki after the update that will be needed to build vacation homes in the game. Are you excited to see the use of new currency in Happy Home Paradise?
