The missing case of the Pelicans, Wendell and Katrina in New Horizons

The pelicans called Pelly, Pete and Phyllis are currently missing from the latest title in the franchise. They were present in all titles before New Horizons. But now the pelicans and their Post Office have been replaced by the card stand at the Airport. Mail has always been an important attraction in the series, but players can’t say the same about it now. Maybe the developers can make sending mail fun again by bringing back the villagers like Pelly, Pete and Phyllis.

Wendell is another character who was replaced by the custom designs portal in Animal Crossing New Horizons. The developers made this decision to make it much more convenient for players. In New Leaf, Wendell didn’t really do anything which might have caused its disappearance from the latest title. But the developers can bring him back again to help players select designs in the game.

Katrina recently left the game following the update to the Nook Phone. Fans can only see her now in the Nintendo Switch Online App. She can give fans some wisdom with her fortunes. But fans miss seeing Katrina and her shop from the game.

Other characters that disappeared because of new features

Harriet had the saddest replacement in the franchise after she got removed for a mirror. The pink poodle ran a barbershop in previous games of the franchise. But in New Horizons, the mirror does the job of customizing the player easily. It’s quite convenient, but fans believe that it has become too easy, and they would love to see Harriet return.

Animal Crossing New Horizons also brought the autosave feature which became the end of the road for Resetti. He is still in the game as the helicopter pilot even though they can’t see him. But his primary feature of rebuking players for resetting the game isn’t needed anymore because the game can autosave now.

Fans are quite sad that they don’t see these villagers anymore in the Animal Crossing franchise. The developers might bring them back with new features and tasks. But until then, fans have to be content with life without them.
