Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been an enormous hit for Nintendo. It has been at the top of the UK physical charts multiple times. However, many users claim New Horizons is not living up to players’ expectations as last year. After gaining so much popularity, ACNH wasn’t focused upon by Nintendo in 2021.

It’s mainly because developers are not adding fresh new content to the game. This is triggering a lot of veterans and making them quit the game. Moreover, some even believe that New Horizons doesn’t have many special characters as compared to previous titles. Villagers are the most adorable part of New Horizons; however, users complain they are very plain and boring as compared to past titles. Although characters in New Horizons are very boring because of repetitive dialogue, has Nintendo introduced more special characters to ACNH? Interestingly, New Horizons has a total of 37 characters while Wild World has 34.

These are all the special characters we have seen so far both in Wild World and New Horizons. Although ACNH has more characters, it doesn’t change the fact that most of the NPCs had their personality taken away from them. For example, Isabelle really is not that interesting as she was in New Leaf. Moreover, most players get annoyed with her morning announcements and don’t even bother to listen to her.
