Animal Crossing: New Horizons is arguably one of the most popular life simulation games out there right now. The simple game with light graphics has succeeded in cheering people up and keeping them engaged while they have been confined in their homes. The vast range of activities one can do in the game is one of the main reasons behind its popularity. The game truly imparts the feeling of belonging to a community to the player.

The latest addition to the game is pearls, added in the summer patch update on the 2nd of this month. Pearls are right now the latest form of currency in Animal Crossing: New Horizon as they can be sold to Nook’s Cranny for a profit. Apart from this, pearls can be used to craft a lot of DIY items. But being extremely rare, gathering pearls can get really tricky and exhausting.

How to gather pearls in Animal Crossing: New Horizons using Pascal

One straightforward way of gathering pearls is to embark on a strenuous grind. All the player has to do is go to the bottom of the ocean and look for one.

Another way to get pearls can be to get one at a time in exchange from Pascal, the sea otter. While in the ocean, if you come across a scallop, usually Pascal shows up around you and offers to exchange the scallop for DIY recipes, items, or sometimes, pearls. Now, mind you, Pascal does not appear every time you find a scallop. Pascal appears at least once in a day, and sometimes more, but there is no absolute certainty. It depends a bit on luck, really. We would advise that if you don’t have a pearl and Pascal is offering a DIY recipe that requires pearls, take the recipe.

Well, that is true. You can increase your chances by grinding for pearls and using Pascal, but in the end, nothing is certain. But then, looking for pearls is quite fun too. In fact, the entire game is. And if you do not have a passion for the pearls, you can simply chill.

The relaxed and friendly atmosphere is what makes Animal Crossing: New Horizons therapeutic for people from all age groups. Do you like the latest AC: NH summer update?
