Recently in an interview with Sky Sports, Barcelona’s new recruit, Antoine Griezmann spoke about the Premier League. He revealed that a transfer to the League very nearly materialised, but he was perfectly content in Atletico Madrid.

He said, “I’ve had a lot of fun in La Liga and we have something the Premier League doesn’t, the sun.”

Antoine Griezmann also admitted that he would have loved to play with compatriot, Alexandre Lacazette. This was because the two are good friends off the pitch and they play together in the national team. He also firmly believes that Lacazette is a highly talented player.

Griezmann also revealed that from a team’s perspective, he admires reigning Champions League winners, Liverpool. He reasoned that it was mostly because of their massive and passionate fanbase. He then mused,? “Hopefully one day, Liverpool will win the League again”
