Atletico Madrid star, Antoine Griezmann is on the verge of a sensational move to FC Barcelona. However, the deal will also result in other Barca players changing clubs.
According to reporter Fabrizio Romano, Antoine Griezmann to Barcelona is almost a done deal.
However, sources reveal that the transfer will involve other players possibly moving to Atletico Madrid to make way for Griezmann.
Romano also claimed that Antoine Griezmann agreed personal terms with Barcelona and was satisfied with the terms of the contract. Earlier it was reported that he would not be earning as much in comparison with his previous stint at Atletico Madrid.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Antoine Griezmann will likely be officially presented as a Barcelona player on July 11.
It is no secret that Barcelona were willing to trigger the Frenchman’s release clause of 120 million euro. In fact, the Antoine Griezmann to Barcelona talk was more of a question of when, rather than if.
However, a specific date for the presentation has been named, in other words the clause could be activated as early next week. This is because it usually takes a few days to pass by after an announcement for an official presentation to take place.
Meanwhile, Barca’s other signing, Frenkie de Jong’s presentation will take place on the 5th. Some rumors say that Barca don’t want to take to undermine de Jong’s importance by announcing a big signing first.
By Sunday the 14th there would be medical tests, so that the next day Antoine Griezmann would be taking part in his first training as a Barcelona player, per the report.
There is no report yet as to which players may be involved in the deal, although names such as Philippe Coutinho, Malcom, Ivan Rakitic, Samuel Umtiti and Nelson Semedo have all been linked with a move away from the club.
