Apex Legends Hits a New Milestone With Concurrent Viewership

Apex Legends, the popular Battle Royale game developed by Respawn Entertainment, set a personal high on concurrent players on Steam. The game set this personal achievement almost 2 days before the end of Season 7 and the start of Season 8.

The highly successful Season 7 released on November 4th with a load of fresh surprises such as the new Legend, Horizon that can manipulate gravity. The game introduced a new map in Olympus that brought a breath of fresh air in the game.

It also gave Kings Canyon a much needed break before its reintroduction in Season 8 with a major overhaul.

Apex Legends reaches 130,000 concurrent players

Reported on Steam Charts, the game reportedly had 129,928 players on Steam. This set the game’s personal record as it enters its last moments of Season 7 and begins its new chapter by introducing Season 8.

The new Season 8 for Apex Legends releases on February 2nd and expect a lot of changes on one of the most popular Battle Royal games.

As the season ends in a few days, the game showed a tremendous surge of players as players were hard on the grind to gain more rewards from their pass exclusive to the season. This led the game to reach a new high in concurrent players on Steam.

Season 8 and what to expect

Season 8 brings out a host of changes to the popular game that’s got the entire community excited. One of the new introductions might be the new Legend of Walter ‘Fuse’ Fitzroy. The new mercenary comes decked with an array of abilities to blow up the game, with his skills revolving around explosives.

Also, the new season also brings changes to the map that became possible due to Fuse’s crashed ship. The game has announced major changes to King Canyon with a new POI in the northern mountainside called Crash Site.

The flooding caused by the crash has caused Spotted Lakes to replace Slum lakes. The new location also has a dam in the center which brings a lot of intense close quarter combat with it.

The game looks to be trending towards the right direction after a few bumpy roads in the beginning. But if the snippets for the upcoming season hold true, then it won’t be a shocker if the game breaks its record again.
