After multiple leaks and surging anticipation, Respawn Entertainment has finally announced the next season of Apex Legends. Season 6, titled ‘Boosted’, will arrive on the 17th of August. But that is not the fun part. While we already had a sneak peek of the new Legend, thanks to ardent leakers, Respawn has now officially announced the upcoming Legend as Rampart.

Rampart, alongside Gibraltar, Caustic, and Watson, will be the fourth defensive Legend in the game. Players can expect to see her in the game in the new season.

The Season 6 trailer also promises new content in Apex Legends. Most of it was leaked previously when the launch trailer dropped.

A new gun, the Volt Energy SMG, will be introduced as well. The gun looks fabulous in the trailer and will probably use Energy rounds. Havoc and L-Star are the only weapons that currently use Energy ammo. It will be an interesting addition and my guess is it’ll be particularly devastating in the medium range apart.

A ‘crafting system’ will also be added to the game. A tweet posted on August 11, Respawn introduced us to Rampart through ‘Stories from the Outlands.’ Crafting seems to be Rampart’s favorite activity and could be a vital aspect in the game. All we know for now is that players can find material on the map that can be used to craft and upgrade weapons.

Rampart’s abilities on Apex Legends

We see a lot of Rampart in the trailer and we got a good look at her abilities. It seems she can make a defensive shield that acts as a protective barrier. This might very well be her Tactical Skill.

We also see her using an emplaced HMG. This HMG can also be used by her teammates to return heavy fire. However, expect longer and more painful reload times.

Data miners have further suggested that Rampart might have passive skills like boosted damage from covers, melee swaps, and boosted LMGs.
