Since the initiation of Season 6 in August, Apex Legends has turned on the heat. Respawn introduced a wide range of exciting features and changes to the battle royale in the form of new seasonal content. However, a new season is not solely defined by the fresh content it brings.

The variety of events that arrive with each season is also a thrilling aspect. Considering Season 6 is still in its infancy, such events have been missing until now. A September 8 tweet from Respawn marked the commencement of the September Soiree, making it the first event in Season 6. Every week, until October 5, players will experience a different LTM.

Starting with the DUMMIE’s Big Day mode, September Soiree aimed to bring around some of the classic LTMs to Apex Legends. However, hours after the mode went live, Respawn decided to pause the party abruptly. The devs had discovered a game-breaking glitch that caused server crashes when a player went AFK on the character select screen.

Kings Canyon After Dark is already live now and will last till September 15. The map features Kings Canyon at night and has a nostalgic factor to it. Skulltown still exists on this map. On the regular Kings Canyon map, the POI was destroyed in the events leading to Season 5.

During the Armed & Dangerous mode, players will only have access to shotguns and snipers en route to becoming the champion. Meanwhile, in DUMMIE’s Big Day, instead of the legends, players have to pick a dummy like the ones found at the firing range. These dummies typically have the same set of tactical and ultimate abilities.

Finally, on LIVE. DIE. LIVE fallen players will respawn near their teammates every time the ring moves, as long as one player is still alive from the squad. Players don’t have to collect their teammate’s banner and deliver it to a beacon for resurrection.
