Fans get to experience quite a few events each season in Apex Legends. Season 5 introduced an array of new content into the game, but, considering the season is still in its early days. the events are lacking. However, players have spotted certain occurrences across Kings Canyon that hint towards incoming events.

After the Season 5 update, several locked hatches popped up across the map that leads to underground bunkers. Currently, one of those hatches, between Water Treatment and Broken Coast South region, has been updated with a countdown timer. The timer was clocked at a little over a week initially. So, players will have access to the loot bunker in a few days.

Meanwhile, players have spotted a teaser in Kings Canyon that hints towards another event. It seems the next Town Takeover is coming to Apex Legends.

In-game banners suggest Crypto Town Takeover in Apex Legends

On June 16, a player (@frozenfroh on Twitter) spotted several banners near Repulsor. The banners have a black background, and a set of green binary numbers are printed on them. Apart from the banners, flags have appeared too, which is a clear implication of a Town Takeover event.

Subsequently, credible Apex Legends data miner, Tobias, deciphered the binary code on the banners. It translates to “If u can see me, I can”. Other than that, there are no specific hints that point towards a particular legend. However, the green and black color combination, the encrypted binary code, as well as the translated phrase, accurately resembles none other than Crypto. But that’s not all.

Apex Legends: Most Popular Legends of Season 5

The data miner further revealed a couple more teasers are expected to appear in the coming days. According to him, phase two and phase three of the teasers will show up on June 18 and June 20, respectively. From the looks of it, Crypto’s Town Takeover is coming soon.

Respawn usually incorporate a Town Takeover event every season for a particular legend. Wraith, Octane, Mirage, and Bloodhound have already experienced their Town Takeovers, earlier. Generally, these events occur around the location where the teasers pop up. It means Crypto’s event will likely take place near Repulsor.

Considering the fact Crypto has one of the lowest pick rates in the game among other legends, the event could potentially boost up his numbers, for a while at least. For now, it is unknown exactly when the Town Takeover will take place, as there is no official word from Respawn. However, you can expect some information about the upcoming Apex Legends events at the EA Play broadcast, on June 18.
