Atletico Madrid’s Turkish star Arda Turan reportedly wants to move to the Premier League according to his agent. The 29-year old Turkish international has been a very important part of the Atletico setup which won them the La Liga in the 2013-14 season. Turan had a moment to remember this season, when he scored a brilliant winner against local rivals Real Madrid at the Bernabeu.
The so-called ‘Big 4’ of the English Premier League, Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea, all are said to be interested in acquiring the services of the play-maker. One hindrance however, is the £41 million buy-out clause in his current contract which most teams will not be wanting to meet. Turan’s agent confirmed that the buy-out clause was proving to be a problem and that clubs like PSG and AC Milan were 2 of the 6 teams interested in buying Turan.
Arda Turan would surely be a great addition to any squad and he has a knack for stepping up in vital games. Turan recently tweeted that all the rumours regarding his transfer are false and that he is currently in talk with 3 different teams regarding his transfer. So, we are far from sure where Arda Turan will be heading this summer. For all we know, Turan’s bond with manager Diego Simeone and the fans of Atletico might just make him stay in the La Liga.
