Since her comeback on the field, the American star has been unable to perform at her best. Interestingly, she has been in an intense rivalry with Jamaican stars Elaine Thompson-Herah and Shelly-Ann Fraser Pryce.

Unexpectedly, Richardson finished at the last position on her comeback at the Diamond League meet 2021. Whereas, Thompson clocked the second-fastest time in the world of 10.54 seconds in the 100m race.

Away from the track, Richardson looked fabulous on the red carpet of Met Gala 2021. Sha’Carri represented Jamaican-born designer Edvin Thompson for her debut at the biggest fashion gala. Edvin Thompson was born in Kingston, Jamaica, and moved to America at a very young age.

While he lives in America, the Jamaican style inspires his fashion. Richardson wore Edvin’s fashion brand, Theophilio, for the Met Gala 2021.

A mixture of red, orange, and black for Richardson

The American track and field star arrived at the fashion meet with her friend and F1 legend Lewis Hamilton. Richardson wore a fiery creation by Theophilio. Her look was a red and orange corset-style top with a black fringe skirt. While she paired up the look with thigh-high boots. Richardson kept her make-up and hair subtle and simple yet bold. She also accessorized her look with a black glove and a black choker.

According to Richardson, Phoenix inspires the look. She wants to show the world how she rose from her lowest to reach the top. Sha’Carri loves the color red as it signifies fire, which she brings on and off the field.
