The American sprinter also posted a story on her Instagram with the message “Violence”. The message seemed to be directed at her critics who have been underestimating her.
After the Tokyo Olympics 2020 ban, Sha’Carri had received an immense amount of support from her fans. Her comeback on the field was much awaited by her fans, but she had a rather disappointing performance.
At the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene, Richardson finished at a shocking ninth position. Whereas Tokyo Olympics gold medalist and Jamaican sprinter Elaine Thompson won the race.
Sha’Carri Richardson vs Shericka Jackson
The American star will go up against Jamaican sprinter Shericka Jackson in the 200m race at the Brussels Diamond League. Shericka had clinched the bronze medal at the recently concluded Tokyo Olympics 2020.
The Brussels race is the second last chance for Richardson to redeem her position. Interestingly, the Olympic champion in the 200m race, Elaine Thompson, won’t be competing due to fatigue.
