Olympic legend, Usain Bolt, retired from track and field a while ago. However, the legendary athlete can’t stay away from sports for long. After his sprinting career, Bolt had a dreams of becoming a professional footballer.

However, in 2019, he also stopped playing football and started working on his business ventures. Interestingly, he is making a comeback to the field at UNICEF’S Soccer Aid.

Usain Bolt part of the Soccer Aid World XI FC

The Soccer Aid is the world’s biggest football charity event. The money is raised to give children a better life in association with UNICEF. Singer Robbie Williams started the initiative in 2006.

The matches will be held in Manchester at the Etihad Stadium. The Olympic legend will be part of the Soccer aid team who will compete with the England team.

Notably, the World XI team is the defending champion. Andy Robertson tweeted a video about the event tagging Usain. Andy said, “Usain Bolt, Roberto Carlson, Martin Campston. You’ve got this in the bag. Watch Soccer Aid for UNICEF live on ITV and STV on Saturday September the 4th.”

Eight-time Olympic gold medalist, Usain re-tweeted the video, saying, “Can’t wait”.

The line of celebrities is worth watching, Usain Bolt, Olly Murs, Aitch, Paul Scholes, Gary Neville, Chunkz, James Arthur, Chelcee Grimes, and Kem Cetinay.

David Beckham is the Goodwill Ambassador

David Beckham has been the goodwill ambassador for 16 years for the UNICEF charity event. Beckham will present the trophy to the winning team.

Notably, this year UNICEF UK is aiming to beat last year’s record of 9.3 million Euros. The Children’s Investment Fund will match even the value of each ticket.

The Rest of the world team will have Olympic legend Usain Bolt, Roberto Carlos, Line of duty star Martin Compston. While pop superstar Olly Murs will captain the English team. Other players in the team are English legends, Wayne Rooney, Paul Scholes, and Ashley Cole.

The price range of the Soccer Aid 2021 will be 20-60 euros for adults. Whereas for under-16 it will be 10-30 Euros. Watching celebrities and legends from different fields come together for a cause will be thrilling for everyone.
