The Los Angeles Lakers lost to the Boston Celtics in overtime. LeBron James bagged 41 points with 8 assists while his efforts were supported by Patrick Beverley’s 15 and Anthony Davis’ 16 points. For the Boston Celtics, Jaylen Brown’s 37 points and Jayson Tatum’s 30 points proved vital in the game. With that said, one pivotal moment has become the talk of the town in the NBA Community. 

The scores were tied at 105-105 with 2 seconds to go. LeBron attempted to execute a layup but his attempt failed. The game clock ran out and the referee whistled indicating overtime. However, LeBron and the Lakers were seething with anger as they claimed that the refs had missed calling a foul during James’ final layup.  The four-time champion was animated while the Lakers bench was furious. After watching the replays, Laker nation pointed out online that there was contact. As the series of events transpired, Patrick Beverley’s on-court antics drew support from the fans.

Patrick Beverley bagged 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists in the game. His performance stood out as he gave the Lakers a lead twice in the crunch time of the game. However, his efforts fell through in the final two seconds.

 While LeBron expressed his frustration on the court, Beverley decided to take matters into his hands and stood up for his team. He rushed to the cameraman, took the camera, and walked up to the referee. 

Beverley pointed at the camera and yelled at Eric Lewis, the referee. It seemed as though he was trying to prove the missed foul call. Following this, the Lakers’ star received a technical foul but he looked least bothered. As he walked back to the bench, he pointed at the camera once again.

Fans online were left in a fit of laughter at Beverley’s antics. They supported his move as they felt that they were robbed of a win. They stated that Pat Bev’s move was legendary and called the tech he received to be the “best of all time”. Fans were glad that the Lakers star stood up for the team and called the refs out during a live game. They stated that Beverley’s move was justified because anyone would be frustrated with such a situation.  Here are some of the reactions:
