The 53-year-old Argentinian tennis player, who retired at just the age of 26, keeps her life a bit low-profile but, at the same time, likes to get out and watch some good tennis. Recently, she attended the Argentina Open in Buenos Aires and marked her presence at her home tournament.
Along with it, she witnessed another Argentine tennis star, Facundo Diaz Acosta, win a home event. Following the incredible triumph, she expressed her joy at the local boy’s unexpected championship win in the Argentina Open.

The one-time Grand Slam champion was recently seen attending the 2024 Argentina Open, which is an ATP 250 event where Carlos Alcaraz claimed victory last year. But this year, Díaz Acosta turned out to be the new champion of the tournament and won his first-ever ATP title.
He also got an opportunity to meet the 53-year-old Argentinian former tennis player during the trophy ceremony. The pictures of Gabriela Sabatini and the new Argentina Open champion were going around on social media and even grabbed her attention. The former Argentinian player took to her Twitter account to share her reaction to the victory.

She wrote, “What a joy @Facudiazacosta Congratulations!!” While she shared her happy feeling of witnessing another Argentinian in the making, who is ready to do well on the tennis court. Along with that, she shared a video posted by Tennis TV in which both of them were specifically seen posing for the Argentina Open title.
In the past week, this is not the first time she has received a lot of attention. Just a few days ago, she made headlines when Serena Williams‘ ex-coach, Rennae Stubbs, was blown away by her timeless elegance.
