ATP Cup 2020 Prize Money Distribution

The ATP Cup 2020 is all set to introduce a new kick-off to the men’s tennis circuit as the top 19 countries assigned to one of the six groups following the official draw ceremony that took place in Sydney on Monday. The ten-day event, which is being held in partnership with Tennis Australia, boasts 15 million USD in prize money.

The ATP Cup 2020 has decided three different components of total prize money awarded to players. This includes a participation fee, prize money for individual match wins and prize money for tie victories.

Prize money for participation

The No.1 and No.2 player of every team will receive a different amount of participation fee according to their rankings. The No.1 player will get a maximum of $250,000 if ranked between 1-3 in the ATP rankings. While the player ranked between 19-24 and above in the ATP rankings will get a minimum participation fee of $75,000.

On the other hand, the No.2 player will get $200,000 if they are ranked between 1-10 and $15,000 if they are ranked above 301 in the ATP rankings. For No.3-5 player in the team, a doubles ranking of 1-20 will give them $30,000 and 151+ ranked doubles player will get $7,500 for participation. While the No.3-5 player ranked between 1-100 will receive $20,000 and $7,500 for players ranked above 301.

Prize money for individual match wins

Each player of the winning team of the ATP Cup 2020 will take home $48,760. All 3-5 players on the team whether the player plays a match or not will earn the same amount for a team win.

While the No.1 player of the team will earn $39,400 for a group stage win, the No.2 player will receive $27,600. In addition, the No.1 singles win will get $78,350 for a quarterfinal win and the No.2 singles win will help a player earn $55,100.

The top player of the team will take home a whopping prize money of $151,000 and $290,400 for a semifinal and final win, respectively. On the other hand, a semifinal and final victory give $106,000 and $204,000 respectively to the No.2 singles player.

Prize money for each tie wins

Apart from earning prize money for individual wins, a player will also receive some additional monetary rewards for each team wins. The ATP Cup 2020 has set prize money of $9,850 for each player present in the team winning a tie at the group stage. While every player will get $17,620 and $29,280 if the team wins the quarterfinals and semifinals respectively. Also, the ATP Cup 2020 winning team players will get $48,760.
