Andre Agassi’s father, Mike Agassi, was a well-known Boxer, but he didn’t have a good relationship with his eldest son, who is a famous tennis player of his time. 

In an old interview, he talked about his thought on his son’s first wife, who is still a well-known Hollywood actress and was having good stardom.

The eight-time Grand Slam champion was married to Brooke Shields, an actress, but their marriage didn’t last long and they called off after two years of being married. After, the former tennis player won against Ivanisevic in Wimbledon. It was, at this time, his father knew that she was not right for him. 

He recalled the time when he had a phone call after the win. He said, “But no, damn it, I complained: how could you miss the fourth set? I honestly thought so. And I also knew that Brooke Shields was not going to be the right wife. But she left in the middle of the wedding party.”

Further, he explained that made him think that she was not a good wife. He said, “I was tired. I had a horrible day. I wanted to sleep, and throw myself on a bed. And yes, I don’t like Hollywood people and I didn’t like the idea that they were married. My son didn’t take it well, relationships got very cold. “ And made a serious revelation that he doesn’t like Hollywood people. However, at the age of 90, the legendary boxer succumbed to death last year. 

Marrying Andre Agassi was a mistake

The American player faced a downfall in his first marriage. The Hollywood star wrote in her book how the marriage with the tennis star was a mistake and talked about that just after getting married. She realized that this won’t work the way they want. They both got married in 1997 and got divorced in 1999.

After a failed marriage, the tennis star found love once again in Steffi Graf, a 22-time Grand Slam champion, and got married for the second time in the year 2000. Notably, the former world number one is happily married now to another tennis player and has two beautiful children.
