With a basketball hoop on the court, Djokovic could not help but enjoy basketball alongside fellow NBA fan Nick Kyrgios. After being set up for a lay-up, Djokovic hit the basket with ease. His celebration had to be a big one, going for LeBron James’ iconic ‘Silencer’ celebration! An already ecstatic crowd roared to see a crossover between two greats! Looking at Djokovic’s skill with the ball and celebration, it certainly looks like he does not miss a chance to play basketball.
It was not the only sport Djokovic dabbled in. The Serbian legend was once seen playing cricket alongside Aussie star Steve Smith, as the two dabbled in both cricket and tennis.

In the build-up to the Australian Open 2024, Novak Djokovic’s foray into basketball was not the only sport he explored. With Aussie cricket star Steve Smith present, Djokovic took a gander at cricket, giving his twist to the sport on a tennis court.

While these fun events create a relaxed image for Djokovic, the Serbian is working to defend his Australian Open title this year. This time, the stakes are much higher, since this will be the 25th Grand Slam he will be gunning for. It will be a feat never seen before in the world of tennis.

The top seed at the Australian Open finds himself pitted against a qualifier in the first round. However, what is more exciting are two opponents he may end up facing in the latter stages of the tournament. One could be against a member of the Big Four, Andy Murray. Djokovic can also find himself in a Wimbledon final replay with Carlos Alcaraz, a tie he lost. Overcoming the demons of the one Grand Slam final he lost in 2023. Winning a record-breaking 25th major title after such a tie would be a landmark event for the G.O.A.T.
