Federer had once displayed his basketball skills

The Swiss ace never concealed the fact that he also enjoyed playing other sports. Once he participated in a basketball game as a youngster. He once added that Michael Jordan, the greatest basketball player of all time, served as an inspiration to him. Federer was inspired due to his resilience, excellence, and will.

While competing in the pre-2019 Shanghai Open tournament alongside Croatian tennis player Marin Cilic, Federer joined the Shanghai Sharks of the Chinese Basketball Association to shoot some hoops. The event had the audience in a frenzy of excitement. The then 38-year-old Federer had made a few shots after a practice session planned for a Roger Federer Fan Day event. 17,000 spectators watched the Swiss tennis star shoot hoops.
